Yahoo, Google Delay Ad Deal Pending DOJ Review

Law360, New York (October 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Internet giants Yahoo Inc. and Google Inc. have put their online advertising partnership on ice while regulators continue to examine the pact, which has drawn fierce opposition from competitors and lawmakers.

The companies, which announced the agreement in June, said they had decided to delay implementation of the planned alliance a little longer to give the Department of Justice more time to complete its antitrust review.
