Texas Cos. In DOJ Probe Face Antitrust Class Action

Law360, New York (October 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two door and hardware suppliers facing criminal charges for bid-rigging have been hit with an antitrust class action from a construction contractor that claims it paid artificially high prices as a result of the alleged conspiracy.

In a complaint filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, Taj Construction Inc. accuses Architectural Products Co. Inc. and El Paso Steel Doors and Frames Inc. of conspiring to rig bids and allocate customers for doors and hardware in the El Paso, Texas, area....
