High Court Declines Winnie The Pooh and Tigger Too

Law360 (June 26, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court has halted the quest of A.A. Milne’s granddaughter to regain the copyright for stories featuring the author’s beloved children's character, Winnie the Pooh.

The High Court denied certiorari on Monday, letting stand a decision handed down by the San-Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals last December upholding a previous licensing agreement.
