Verizon Offers To Sell 15 More Markets In Alltel Deal

Law360, New York (October 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Verizon Wireless has offered to divest 15 more coverage areas to appease antitrust regulators in its attempt to acquire rival Alltel Corp., bringing the total number of markets to be divested to 100.

In a letter to the Federal Communications Commission on Tuesday, Verizon Wireless offered to sell markets in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, South Carolina and Utah.
