Conflicting Injunctions Muddy 'Roadless Rule' Feud

Law360, New York (October 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A multi-jurisdictional legal battle over a “roadless rule” that bars vehicle access to swaths of protected land nationwide has become even stickier, with the U.S. Forest Service sparring with green groups over two conflicting injunctions simultaneously requiring the agency to follow and prohibiting it from adhering to the highly contested regulation.
