Con Ed Sued Over Pipeline Patents

Law360, New York (October 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Gas and electricity provider Consolidated Edison Co. of New York Inc. has been hit with a declaratory judgment lawsuit claiming that its two patents for ways to replace buried pipelines are invalid and unenforceable.

TT Technologies Inc., which sells trenchless technology used for construction on pipes, sued Con Ed after receiving a letter from the utility company stating that its Groundbuster pipe-bursting system infringes its two patents.
