Class Cert. Granted In Bechtel ERISA Suit

Law360, New York (October 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has certified a class of more than 17,000 employees in an Employee Retirement Income Security Act lawsuit against engineering company Bechtel Corp.

In an order Friday, Judge Charles R. Breyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California granted the motion for class certification filed by the two named plaintiffs in the case, Beverly Kanawi and Salvador Aquino. The two were appointed class representatives.
