Judge Signs Off On Pet Food MDL Truce

Law360 (October 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Tossing aside objections, the federal judge overseeing the multidistrict pet food litigation has issued final approval of a $24 million settlement that seeks to put to rest claims over a massive recall of contaminated dog and cat meals last year.

On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Noel Hillman gave a thumbs-up to the deal, which creates a settlement fund that will be bankrolled by the defendants, including Menu Foods Inc.
