FCC To Review Verizon, Sprint Deals

Law360, New York (October 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In next month's meeting to discuss possible sweeping changes to the nation's communications industry, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission will review separate ventures by Verizon Wireless and Sprint Nextel and consider opening up an unused broadband spectrum that could pave the way for public broadband access.
