Qwest Latest To Face Early Termination Fee Suit

Law360, New York (October 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two customers of Qwest Communications International Inc. have filed a proposed class action claiming that the company violates the law by charging a $200 early termination fee to subscribers to its Internet service who cancel before the end of their contract.

The suit, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, seeks to represent a class of all Qwest Internet subscribers who have been subjected to the early termination fees since Oct. 15, 2002.
