Louis Vuitton's $3M Damages Award Appealed

Law360, New York (October 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A group of clothing companies is appealing a district judge's decision to award Louis Vuitton Malletier SA $3 million in damages after siding with the designer in its trademark infringement lawsuit.

Coco USA Inc., one of the companies named in the suit, lodged an appeal of the award with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Friday, just two days after the lower court ordered the defendants to pay $3 million in damages and over $500,000 in attorneys' fees and litigation expenses....
