By Catherine Fredenburgh (July 6, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Not about to mess with its longtime rival's coveted trade secrets, PepsiCo Inc. pointed authorities towards three people who stole confidential information about Coca-Cola Co.'s recipes and attempted to sell it to Pepsi.
The suspects were arrested after a $1.5 million deal orchestrated by undercover agents was set to take place. They appeared before a federal magistrate judge on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Joya Williams, an executive administrative assistant at Atlanta-based Coca-Cola, is charged with rummaging through corporate files as well as confiscating documents and a new Coca-Cola product.
