Law360 (October 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- While the committee of unsecured creditors of bankrupt homebuilder WCI Communities Inc. awaits the fate of its claims, no mystery remains about the cost of the services provided by the committee's co-counsel Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.

Akin Gump filed the compensation request for the first six weeks of its services Tuesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, submitting a bill for roughly 1,640 hours of work at aggregate cost of nearly $900,000.
