Subprime Suit Against Credit Suisse Still On

Law360 (October 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has dashed a bid by Credit Suisse First Boston Corp. to dismiss a lawsuit brought by a Florida insurance company alleging the investment bank concealed the risks involved in the purchase of subprime mortgage-backed bonds.

Issuing her order in chambers Wednesday, Judge Elizabeth Kovachevich of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida denied motions by Credit Suisse, its affiliates, and co-defendants Bank of New York and Triad Guaranty Insurance Corp. to toss the action by Bankers Life Insurance Co.
