Venture-Backed Optics Co. Acacia Files For $125M IPO

Law360, New York (December 22, 2015, 3:45 PM EST) -- Venture capital-backed optical communications technology company Acacia Communications Inc. filed for an initial public offering on Monday with legal guidance from WilmerHale, tentatively pegging the maximum size of the offering at $125 million.

Acacia said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it is inviting the public to bet on its optical connectivity products, which are designed to be used in equipment for communications companies, cloud infrastructure providers and others. The company has not said how many shares it will offer nor identified a share price range.
