Klausner Targets Vonage In VoIP Infringement Suit

Law360, New York (July 10, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Under fire for the third time in less than a year for its voice over Internet protocol technology, embattled telephone company Vonage Holdings Corp. has been slammed with a patent infringement suit by Klausner Technologies Inc.

Klausner launched the suit Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, seeking damages and royalties of $180 million.

Klausner, which has aggressively asserted its patents for the Internet voicemail services technology, said it granted Time Warner’s AOL a license under the same exact patent....
