Hyland's Faces 2nd Suit Over Homeopathic Baby Products

Law360, New York (January 13, 2016, 4:09 PM EST) -- Homeopathic remedy maker Hyland's Inc. was dragged back into court Tuesday by a new proposed class of consumers who contend that several products advertised as effective in curing a number of baby ailments are nothing more than placebos.

Marie Kaatz and Abigail Gagliardi say in their complaint in New York federal court that Hyland's and its parent company, Standard Homeopathic Co., mislead consumers by marketing products such as baby teething gel, baby earache drops and baby gas drops as safe, effective and providing fast and natural relief, when the products actually contain no relevant ingredients and provide no benefits beyond that...
