Mosaid Settles DRAM Spat With Powerchip

Law360, New York (October 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Mosaid Technologies Inc. and Powerchip Semiconductor Corp. have entered into a licensing deal that resolves their patent litigation over memory chip technology.

Ottawa-based Mosaid granted the Taiwan-based company a five-year royalty license for its patents covering its non-foundry dynamic random access memory and pseudo-static random access memory products, Mosaid said Wednesday.

The financial details of the deal remain confidential.

The licensing deal brings an end to the parties’ claims in two suits that were consolidated in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California,...
