$3M Engle Award Disputed Over Excluded Asbestos Evidence

Law360, Miami (January 27, 2016, 10:01 PM EST) -- Counsel for Philip Morris and R.J. Reynolds urged a Florida appeals court on Wednesday to undo a trial court’s $3 million ruling in favor of an Engle progeny plaintiff, saying evidence that the deceased smoker’s lung cancer was potentially caused by asbestos exposure was wrongfully excluded from trial.
