Judge Pries Deeper Into Lord Black’s Puzzling Finances

Law360, New York (July 12, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has demanded more information from Conrad Black’s attorney to pin down whether the media mogul may have misled the court about his convoluted assets while making bail in his fraud and racketeering case.

Judge Amy St. Eve in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois pointed out major differences in the values of some of Black’s assets after comparing this week’s court-ordered revised financial affidavit to last year’s original statement.
