Apple Gives In To Bloggers In Trade Secrets Case

Law360 (July 13, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Apple Computer Inc. has abandoned its legal effort to find out who at the company leaked trade secrets about an unreleased music interface device, according to recently filed court documents.

Appleā€™s decision was deemed a victory for online bloggers and journalists and transcended intellectual property issues to clarify free speech law. In doing so, it pitted high-tech companies against privacy advocates through various amicus briefs filed in the case.
