DOJ Delivers Subpoena To FedEx In Air Cargo Probe

Law360, New York (July 14, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has subpoenaed FedEx Corp. and its subsidiaries as part of a wide probe into price-fixing in the air cargo industry.

Jess Bunn, a spokesman for FedEx, said the company has “no reason to believe we are a target.” He emphasized that unlike other air cargo companies, FedEx did not receive a search warrant.

He said the company is cooperating with the June 23 subpoena, which was disclosed in the company’s annual report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
