Court Tosses Monopoly Abuse Case Against Google

Law360 (July 14, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Marking an initial win for Google Inc., a federal court judge tossed a lawsuit Thursday by an angry online publisher that alleged Google wielded its monopoly power to boot the publisher off its popular search engine index.

Judge Jeremy Fogel granted Google’s motion to dismiss the complaint filed by Kinderstart.com LLC, but allowed the publisher to amend and refile its case in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
