Businessman Seeks To Foil McClatchy Newspaper Deal

Law360 (July 14, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A millionaire real estate investor who turned the sale of the San Francisco Chronicle into a lengthy legal battle six years ago has decided to intervene in McClatchy Inc.’s $737 million deal to shed three of the newspapers it acquired in its takeover of Knight Ridder Inc.
