Hasbro Settles With 'Saturday Night Fever' Mentor In TM Suit

By Kelly Knaub (February 3, 2016, 8:25 PM EST) -- "Saturday Night Fever" choreographer Denis George Mahan, better known as Deney Terrio, and toymaker Hasbro have settled claims that Hasbro's cartoon gecko Vinnie Terrio and the figurine sold in McDonald's Happy Meals violate the Lanham Act and Terrio's publicity rights under Florida Law, according to Florida federal court documents.

U.S. District Judge Roy B. Dalton issued an order Wednesday from Florida's Middle District dismissing Terrio's claims against Hasbro Inc. with prejudice. The parties filed a settlement notice earlier in the day notifying the court that they had reached an agreement in the case.
