FCC OKs Verizon-Alltel, Sprint-Clearwire Deals

Law360, New York (November 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Federal Communications Commission has cleared both Verizon Wireless’ $28 billion deal to take over Alltel Corp. and Sprint Nextel Corp.’s $14.5 billion plan to form a joint venture with Clearwire Corp.
