Enviros Urge 2nd Circ. To Nix FERC's $683M Pipeline Approval

By John Kennedy (February 8, 2016, 1:49 PM EST) -- Five environmental groups on Friday asked the Second Circuit to review the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's approval of the proposed $683 million Constitution Pipeline, saying that the agency violated both the Clean Water Act and the National Environmental Policy Act.

The groups are challenging both FERC's December 2014 order allowing Constitution Pipeline Co. LLC and Iroquois Gas Transmission System LP to build and run the project and the commission's late January denial of the environmentalists' request for rehearing.
