ThinkingPhones Rebrands As Fuze, Pulls In $112M In Funding

By Matthew Perlman (February 9, 2016, 7:27 PM EST) -- ThinkingPhones, a Massachusetts company that provides cloud-based voice, video and other communications services to businesses, said Tuesday that it has pulled in $112 million in new funding led by private equity investors, the same day it rebranded itself as Fuze.

Thinking Phone Networks Inc. acquired the name Fuze when it purchased a San Francisco-based video conferencing company in November, according to a statement announcing the change.

Steve Kokinos, who founded ThinkingPhones in 2006 and serves as CEO of the new Fuze, said the rebranding will better capture the business's evolved role of trying to provide customers with a cloud-based unified communications...
