Taser Wins Summary Judgment In Liability Suit

Law360, New York (November 6, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has granted summary judgment to Taser International Inc. in a product liability lawsuit on the grounds that attorneys for the plaintiff violated the statute of limitations by not acting with due diligence to serve Taser with the suit.

Judge Terry R. Means of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas ruled Wednesday that the eight-month delay between when the plaintiffs filed the suit in May 2007 and when they served Taser last February ran afoul of the statute.
