Scammer Who Forged Mets Exec's Signature Cops To Fraud

Law360, New York (February 18, 2016, 5:36 PM EST) -- A New Jersey man pled guilty Thursday in New York federal court to a $3.5 million business financing fraud in which he forged the signature of New York Mets executive Jeffrey Wilpon.

Michael Conway, 40, admitted to a count of wire fraud before U.S. District Judge William F. Kuntz II. Sentencing guidelines call for a sentence between 41 and 57 months, depending on certain factors. Conway also agreed to make $3.5 million in restitution. A sentencing date was not set.
