Naked Cowboy, Mars Inc. End Showdown

Law360 (November 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- After a nearly yearlong battle with Mars Inc., the New York street performer known as the “Naked Cowboy” has decided to drop his trademark lawsuit against the candymaker over a Times Square ad that featured a blue M&M wearing underpants and a cowboy hat.

On Friday, Robert Burck, who for 10 years has played guitar in Times Square wearing his signature outfit, filed joint papers with Mars, seeking to dismiss the case from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York's docket....
