Oticon Gives Rivals Earful Over Hearing Aid Patent

Law360 (November 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Hearing aid manufacturer Oticon Inc. is trying to muffle two of its major rivals, accusing Vivatone Hearing Systems LLC and SeboTek Hearing Systems LLC of infringing a patent for digital hearing aids.

Oticon lodged the suit on Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, claiming that its competitors make hearing aids covered by at least one claim of Oticon’s patented technology.
