Nintendo Sued Again Over Controller Technology

Law360, New York (November 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Motiva LLC is taking a swing at Nintendo Co. Ltd., filing a lawsuit alleging the video game giant infringes Motiva’s patent related to movement tracking technology.

The complaint, lodged Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, claims Nintendo sells video game systems that embody the inventions covered by Motiva’s patent for a hand-held movement sensing device.

Nintendo infringes at least one claim of U.S. Patent Number 7,292,151, titled “Human movement measurement system,” the complaint says.
