Zara Says Ex-GC's Personal Emails Discuss Bias In $40M Suit

By Kali Hays (February 26, 2016, 8:14 PM EST) -- Fast fashion giant Zara on Thursday pushed a New York state court to force its former general counsel, now suing the retailer for $40 million on claims of bias and harassment for his sexuality and religion, to hand over hundreds of emails because they are material to the case.

The emails at issue were exchanged between Ian Jack Millier — who sued Zara USA Inc. in June alleging he faced widespread bias and harassment for being gay and Jewish while working as the company's general counsel — and his long-time partner through the server of his partner's employer, Continental Grain Co....
