T-Mobile Sued Over Wireless Switching Technology

Law360 (November 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A technology-licensing company has filed a patent suit against T-Mobile USA Inc., alleging infringement of technology that allows wireless devices to switch between cellular service and wireless Internet signals.

In the suit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Calypso Wireless Inc. accuses T-Mobile of making and selling "software/firmware, hardware and services" that infringe one of Calypso's patents.

The suit claims that the infringement is willful and seeks a permanent injunction and unspecified damages.
