ITC Grants Partial Win To Funai In Patent Ruling

Law360 (November 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- An International Trade Commission judge has issued a ruling in favor of Japanese electronics maker Funai Electric Co., finding digital televisions made by Vizio Inc. and others infringe a Funai patent that covers broadcast data processing systems.

In an initial determination issued Monday, Administrative Law Judge Carl C. Charneski of the U.S. International Trade Commission found a violation with respect to U.S. Patent No. 6,115,074, noting that the patent is valid and enforceable.
