Chobani Loses Bid To Lift Ban On 'Chlorine' Yogurt Ads

Law360, New York (April 26, 2016, 5:06 PM EDT) -- Chobani can't tell consumers that rival Dannon puts chlorine in its yogurt, a New York federal judge ruled on Tuesday, refusing to reconsider an advertising ban that Chobani had argued was excessively broad.

U.S. District Judge David Hurd had ruled that Chobani LLC can't tell consumers that Dannon Light & Fit Greek yogurt's sweetener "has chlorine added to it," as it had in a 30-second ad that shows a woman lounging by a swimming pool, choosing between yogurts.
