Trump Cleared Of Real Estate Fraud Claims By Fla. Court
Law360, Miami (April 27, 2016, 5:06 PM EDT) -- A Florida appeals court Wednesday affirmed a final judgment rejecting fraud and misleading advertisement claims over a failed Donald Trump-affiliated project during the real estate market crash, but reversed the lower court's rulings on attorneys' fees in the case.
Wednesday's decision from the Fourth District Court of Appeal rejected the argument on appeal from potential buyer Deer Valley Realty Inc. that the trial judge erred in allowing Trump, his companies and project developer SB Hotel Associates to focus their defense on last decade's economic downturn.
