Investors Demand Dell Board Investigate Claims

Law360, New York (December 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The board of directors at Dell Inc. has received a shareholder demand letter asking that the board investigate allegations made in securities lawsuits against current and former officers and directors and the company’s auditor PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, the personal-computer maker disclosed Thursday.

In a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing, the company revealed the existence of the Nov. 12 letter and said the letter asserted allegations similar to those made in various securities and derivative lawsuits filed against the company.
