Resistance To 'Star Trek' IP Suit Proves Futile, For Now

Law360, New York (May 10, 2016, 1:28 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Tuesday refused to toss out a copyright lawsuit filed by Paramount Pictures over an unauthorized "Star Trek" fan film, quipping that the case should “live long enough” to survive an early-stage motion to dismiss but refusing to rule on whether it would “prosper” on the merits.
