1st-Day Motions Fly In Heller Ehrman Ch. 11

Law360 (December 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A bankruptcy judge on Tuesday signed off on Heller Ehrman LLP's first-day motions as the dissolving law firm seeks to protect portions of its remaining assets from Bank of America NA, Citibank NA and certain landlords.

Judge Dennis Montali of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California issued orders allowing the dissolving firm to use its existing bank accounts, to pay prepetition employee wages and to use cash collateral, among other things, and set a status conference for Jan. 16.
