Hyland Can't Dodge Homeopathic False Ad Claims For Now

Law360, New York (July 6, 2016, 3:48 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge has denied a motion by homeopathic remedy maker Hyland's Inc. to dismiss a consumer class action accusing it of mislabeling "placebo" baby medicines, saying there are class certification and discovery issues that need to be sorted out before Hyland's objections are ripe.

The January complaint accuses Hyland's of touting baby products such as teething gel, earache drops and gas drops as safe, effective and providing fast and natural relief when the products actually contain no relevant ingredients and provide no benefits beyond that of a placebo.
