D-Link Dropped From Linex Wireless Patent Suit

By Liz McKenzie (December 31, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- D-Link Systems Inc. is the latest of several companies to settle with Linex Technologies Inc. over patents related to the transmittal of wireless signals.

Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas formally dismissed D-Link from the suit on Tuesday after the two companies agreed to a confidential settlement.

Attorneys for Linex and D-Link could not be reached for comment.

Linex has already withdrawn claims against defendants Dell Inc., Netgear Inc. and Gateway Inc. as a result of earlier settlement agreements.
