Support Builds For High Court To Take Rambus Case

Law360, New York (January 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Seven amicus briefs have been filed in support of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's effort to have its antitrust appeal against Rambus Inc. heard by the nation's highest court.

The number of filings signals a high level of interest in the case, in which the federal agency held that Rambus violated antitrust laws by concealing information about its patents from a standard-setting organization for the semiconductor industry, only to have that finding reversed on appeal.
