Law Firms Divide $37M In Strand Board Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (January 12, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- Thirty-eight law firms that represent the direct purchaser plaintiffs in a price-fixing lawsuit over oriented strand board are divvying up $37.1 million in legal fees, with lead counsel Spector Roseman Kodroff & Willis PC proposing that it receive $12.6 million of the total.

Last month, Judge Paul S. Diamond of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania granted the attorneys' fees petition, which asked for one-third of the settlement amount, excluding the value of certain opted out claims.
