Panel To Reconsider Sex Charges Against Judge

Law360 (January 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The special investigative committee of a federal appeals court has reopened its misconduct investigation of a federal judge after he pled not guilty to criminal charges accusing him of sexually harassing two women in a Texas courthouse.

The charges are beyond the scope of the misconduct on which the Special Investigating Committee of the Judicial Council of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit based its earlier sanction, according to an order signed Friday by Edith H. Jones, chief judge of the council....
