Texas Jury Clears Spinal Device Co. In Patent Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (August 19, 2016, 8:37 PM EDT) -- A Texas federal jury on Friday found that medical device manufacturer Globus Medical Inc. did not infringe the spinal correction device patents of Texas-based Flexuspine Inc. after failed mediation and a five-day trial under U.S. District Judge Rodney Gilstrap.

Flexuspine had accused Pennsylvania-based Globus of infringing its patents for spinal devices in a case that started with five patents and was whittled down to three specific claims of two patents.
