Delta Wants Help From IBM

Law360, New York (August 8, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Delta Airlines is looking to cut down on the costs of doing business by outsourcing computer maintenance work to International Business Machines Corp.

In a motion filed Tuesday, Delta said that after a “lengthy evaluation process,” it had concluded that having IBM service and maintain its mainframe and mid-range computer hardware would save it a significant amount of money, and asked the bankruptcy court to approve a proposed agreement between the two companies.
