Ex-Funeral Director Sentenced In Tissue Theft Case

Law360, New York (January 16, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- An ex-funeral director in upstate New York reportedly has been given a six- to 18-year prison sentence for his alleged role in a human tissue-theft scheme in which body parts were harvested without permission from bodies awaiting cremation to be sold by a New Jersey-based biomedical supply company.
