EU High Court Brings It All Back Home For Sony

Law360, New York (January 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EST) -- The European Union's highest court has ruled that a German music distributor cannot sell two Bob Dylan compilation albums because Sony Corp. owns the rights to the songs in question.

The European Court of Justice said in a Tuesday ruling that music is protected under EU law if it was registered in one of the member countries before July 1995.
